My Drybar Experience
Drybar is a blow dry bar that specializes in blowouts so, not cuts or color. They also offer professional hair products and styling tools! There are 100+ locations across the U.S. and Canada and Drybar Indianapolis is celebrating its one year anniversary this weekend so I thought, why not treat myself?!
Even though I was running a few minutes behind, once I got to the Drybar the receptionis, Greer, was nothing but sweet (she also has a personal blog on IG you should check out - @greerfromdrybar)! The bright pops of yellow created a fun, welcoming environment.
First step, hair washing! I don’t know about you, but I plan my activities around the days of the week I’ll be washing my hair so, I was excited to have someone do the hair washing for me! Alexis, my stylist (or hair-tender?), was super nice and let me know what she was doing and the products she was using. She even threw in a wonderful scalp massage!
Next up, is picking your blowout. I love that their menu is named after drinks...hence the name, Drybar (P.S.: you can ask for a nice, refreshing alcoholic beverage, also great after a long day of work). I decided to go with the Cosmo-Tai, a fusion of the beachy Mai Tai and the curly Cosmo, since my hair holds a curl pretty well. A blowout, including a hair wash, runs about $45 before tip. You can also do dry styling for just $25.
The whole process was pretty fast. It took about an hour to wash my hair, blow dry it and then style it. Also, the payment process was super easy since I used the app and they already had my card on file. I had a wonderful experience and loved how my hair turned out! Alexis was super sweet and I just love the whole concept of the Drybar.
If you haven’t been before I would highly recommend! It’s a great way to treat yourself, hang out with your girlfriends or even get your hair styled before a special occasion. I will definitely be back and maybe check out the dry styling option. (-:
