2017: In Review
First week into 2018 and I'm feeling good. I don't believe in the whole "new year, new me" hype, however, the new year does bring about two important notions for me: to reflect and to refresh.
First, reflection. I enjoy looking back at the year and coming up with a summary of how it went. Usually I do this by sitting in my room, looking through old photos and social media posts, but this year I thought I'd reflect with you. It'll be a way for you to get to know me and a way for me to reflect on 2017, win-win! Check out my photo summary below. (Click on the photos and hover for a longer description. 2017 was a huge year for me. I graduated and had lots of fun adventures along the way, making for some great memories and growing opportunities!
After reflection comes refreshment. The new year definitely gives off a fresh start. It's a great time to take a deep breath, clear your mind, and think about what you want to accomplish for the year. That doesn't mean you have to create resolutions or have a concrete plan. Take it as a refresh on your life. Everything you did last year is still there, but you get to go for another trip around the sun, make the most of it!
My 2018 has been off to an interesting start, good interesting for the most part. Let's see what the rest of it holds. Here's to a new year and a new start to blogging!
