If you're as good of a procrastinator as I am, you probably haven't started your holiday shopping yet. But have no fear, I have two more gift-giving guides that will hopefully be of some assistance as you get your last minute shopping in! Last week I did a guide for the coat lovers in your life. Today, we'll tackle the people in your life that are impossible to shop for.

When it comes to the people in your life who you don't know how to shop for, you just have to keep a couple of things in mind:
  • Make a list of things they like: Just list off the first things that come to your mind when you think of that person. Don't hesitate, just write whatever comes to mind. It doesn't have to be "things" necessarily it could be their favorite color, a movie that reminds you of them, a quirk, etc.
  • Keep it practical: As you look at your list, start jotting down some practical gifts that could match up with something about them. Practical gifts are useful and usually won't cost you much, but people can also appreciate them. Win-win!
  • Check out my list below of some awesome practical gifts: And feel free to add to the list in the comments below! (;
  • Skim through Pinterest: If nothing else helps, Pinterest has a buttload of gift-guides. Just type in "Gifts for (whatever type of person they are)" and you'll find some ideas. (-:

Think about it: we have so many subscriptions. What if someone covered a couple months of that subscription? Sounds awesome right? Why not give the gift of a subscription?!

Whether it be Netflix, Premium Spotify, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime, or even a good ole magazine subscription, it would make a thoughtful and practical gift.

Box subscriptions are also all the rage like Birchbox, Dollar Shave Club, BarkBox, etc. There's a box for all types of people, so find one that fits who you're shopping for and poof! A gift!

If you're really stuck, you really can't go wrong with socks or candy, or both! The type of socks are up to you, although I prefer to go for the more festive ones. (-;

Socks are great practical gifts because
     a) You wear them almost everyday.
     b) You can never have too many socks.
     c) They're socks.

If they also like candy, that's just a huge plus. Two awesome, yet affordable, gifts!

This really depends on the type of person you're buying for, but I feel like a lot of people have something they are passionate about, and almost everything in the world has a non profit organization behind it.

Donations are great gifts for those on the more sentimental side, however, if you still want to buy something tangible there are plenty of organizations that donate a portion of their profits to a cause.

For example, Lush will donate 100% of the price (minus the taxes) of their Charity Pots to organizations working with environmental conservation, animal welfare, and human rights.  Want to find the perfect gift that gives back? Just Google "gifts that give back" and you're bound to find at least one organization they'll be excited about!

If you honestly can't think of anything, and the person you're buying for has a sense of humor, why not go the funny route and get a novelty gift?

The great thing about novelty gifts is that they're unique and usually useful at the same time. There are usually two routes you can go:
     a) Funny + Crazy + Obscene
     b) Funny + Cute + Practical

This BuzzFeed article may give you some inspiration because who doesn't need a hedgehog serving dish? It's super cute yet super practical, ya dig?

Google or Amazon may be your best friends when finding novelty gifts!

This is a great practical gift for the people in your life who you aren't exactly sure what to get them, but you have an idea of the types of stores or things they like to shop for, which is where gift cards come in especially useful.

Money in general is also a great gift, especially for us broke college kids or struggling fresh grads.

Plus with a gift card, or money, you can get a bit creative with how you present it. Or you can just stick it in festive envelope and call it a day. Whatever floats your boat!

And there ya have it! Hopefully this sparked some ideas on what to get for the "impossible ones" in your life. Hope your holidays are going well so far. (:
