Blogmas: Practical Gifts for Bloggers (7)

Sunday, December 07, 2014

Welcome to Day 7 of Blogmas! If you want to see a running list of my Blogmas posts, you can check them out here. (:

Do you know any bloggers? Are you having some trouble thinking of gifts to get a blogger? Or are you a blogger and have no idea what you want? Well, have no fear because Manpreet is here! Okay, that was really lame, but I've come up with 5 simple gift ideas that I'm sure any blogger would be happy with, whatever their blogging style is: lifestyle, beauty, food, travel, etc.

The great thing about these gifts is that they're very customizable, so you can choose something that'll go with their blogging style. (: Enjoy!

1) 365 Blog Topic Ideas (For The Lifestyle Blogger Who Has Nothing To Write About) by Dana Fox

This is a great gift for any blogger because we've all been in that situation where our creative juices have decided to stop flowing and we just aren't able to come up with any new, fresh ideas to write about.

Well, one of our very own, Dana Fox @ Wonder Forest, has decided to take the initiative to tackle this problem head on and has compiled a list of 365 actual blog topic ideas for those times where you just can't think of anything to write about. The paperback version will be available on Amazon on December 10, 2014 so keep your eyes peeled!

2) Business Cards and a Business Card Holder

Have you decided that you want to grow your blog into more than just a hobby? Well, a key part of that is knowing the right people and networking, networking, networking! You've probably been to at least one networking event, even if you didn't realize it was a networking event, where after people were done with their conversations they'd hand you a business card.

Well, how handy would it be if you went to a blogging event/meetup and you could pass out a handy little card that had all your contact and social media info on it? Pretty neat, if I do say so myself. I stumbled upon Zazzle, and they have A BUNCH of different options and styles to choose from.

And another great gift to go along with a stack of business cards would be a business card holder! This gorgeous Kate Spade business card holder is easy on the eyes and can be customized too with the first letter of your name! (:

3) Journal

As a blogger you probably constantly have ideas running through your head and you most likely either a) jot it down on whatever is closest to you OR b) think you'll remember it and end up forgetting a couple minutes later.

Well, wouldn't it be nice to just have one central place where you can keep track of all your ideas? You probably already have something that you do, for example, I use the "Notes" app on my iPhone to keep a running list of blog ideas. Others might prefer to write down their ideas in a notebook. I stumbled upon this Etsy shop called Paper Notebook and they have the cutest notebooks for as low as $4.00! Definitely something worth checking out, and a very useful gift!

4) Calendar

Planning is a key part of blogging and a great way to plan is via Calendar! I mean, everyone needs a calendar, so this is probably the most practical gift, and could be given to literally anyone!

If you like having desk calendars, Rifle Paper Co. has really nice regular-sized calendars. If you'd rather have a larger calendar for your wall, like a dry erase board or chalkboard calendar, I'd go to PB Teen as they have a large variety of calendar designs. (:

5) Blog Template

Whether you're new to blogging or seasoned pro, you may have a bit of trouble with blog design and how HTML works. I sure do! ;p That's why it's great to be able to  find blog templates that really speak to your blogging style and all you have to do is copy and paste the code into a box, and pay for it of course!

After doing a quick search, I found these four awesome shops that sell really nice blog templates:

So, whether you're a blogger or you know a blogger, I hope this information was helpful for you! (:
