Sorry this post is so late! I'm a bit of a procrastinator...o; Anyways...today I thought I'd share another simple homemade present idea. If you want to see the first one click here

It's extremely simple but it can mean so much; it's called a "memory jar." You may have heard about this before but I only discovered it this year when my little sister made one for herself. I never really had time to make one for myself but now that the year is quickly coming to an end I thought it would be nice to have.

The whole point of a memory jar is to write down good things that happen to you or moments that you don't want to forget throughout the year and put it in the jar. Usually you would start it at the beginning of the year and then open it and read through your memories at the beginning of the following year. They don't all have to be good memories but my sister just wrote down good things that happened to her, even if they were as simple as "our cousins came over today." This year, we decided to make each other a memory jar for the upcoming year and this is how the one I made for my sister turned out! (:

Now the design for your jar is up to you, that's why this is such a simple project. (: You can make it as simple or as complex as you want. My little sister loves elephants and aztec print so I combined it! I actually got the inspiration for the elephant drawing from my friend's drawing which you can see here. The rest I kind of just made up as I went along, occasionally googling images here and there for inspiration. I'll just show you guys the steps I went through and the rest is up to you! (:

See, it's not that hard! (-:

Have you ever had a memory jar? How'd you like it? If you decide to make one I'd love to see it! (:
