The first time I heard about The 1975 was when my friend told me that Harry Styles from One Direction tweeted about a song called Chocolate. When I first heard the song I was like "OMG YOU CAN ACTUALLY HEAR THEIR ACCENTS AND THEY'RE SINGING ABOUT CHOCOLATE!" It was pretty epic. But then I kind of forgot about them until I read this post from Alexandra's blog "Cats and Vodka." (You should definitely check out her blog (;) I really like their sound but I've only listened to their album once or twice so I'm not sure how I feel about them yet.

I discovered Lindsey Stirling a while back as well when she did a cover of Imagine Dragons' Radioactive on her YouTube channel lindseystomp. She is a violinist and her album is all instrumental, no singing, just her and her violin but she makes the violin sound so cool! I usually don't listen to instrumental music but she adds a cool electronic feel to it. I don't know, it's just fun to listen to as background music while your working or as I'm currently writing this post! (;

Album: AM - Arctic Monkeys
Genre: Rock
1) Do I Wanna Know?
2) R U Mine?
3) One for The Road
4) Arabella

9) Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?
10) Snap Out of It

12) I Wanna Be Yours

I haven't listened to their album much but it's a nice change from the music I've been listening to lately (a lot of alternative and pop!). They bring a nice rock sound, which I really enjoy but I honestly can't say much about them because a) This is the first of their albums I have listened to and b) I haven't listened to it much. However, I would say they are worth a listen!

What music have you been listening to lately? Let me know in the comments below, I love listening to new music! (: Oh, and don't forget to set your clocks back an hour tomorrow, Sunday November 3, yay for more sleep! (-:
