Happy Thanksgiving!

"Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you'll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you'll find that you have more of it." - Ralph Marston

I'm thankful that I'm sitting here, with a roof over my head. That I'm sitting here being able to share my thoughts with millions of people around the word. That I was blessed with the most amazing people in my life. That I wake up every morning knowing that there will be food on the table. That I'm alive and breathing.

The list goes on and on. There's no way I could say everything that I'm thankful for because I'm thankful for EVERYTHING. I know it may sound cheesy, but it's true. But the crazy thing is, you don't really find out how truly grateful you are for something until it's gone. Whenever I think of things I'm grateful for I think of the lyrics from Passenger's song Let Her Go

"But you only need the light when it's burning low,
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow,
Only know you love her when you let her go.

Only know you've been high when you're feeling low,
Only hate the road when you're missing home,
Only know you love her when you let her go."

So today, if you celebrate Thanksgiving this way, when you're sitting around the table eating a delicious home-cooked meal with your friends and family, reflect back on your life so far and just be thankful. When you really sit back and realize everything you have, your life will just feel that much better. Sure we complain about the simplest things like not having a good WiFi connection, or not being able to get that pair of shoes you really wanted, but at the end of the day you'll remember all the things you do have: the roof over your head, the amazing people in your life, food on the table, and being alive!

I just wanted to take this post to reflect and say that I'm thankful for you and everything else in my life! (: I also wanted to let you guys know that this will be my last Thankful Thursday post. Next month I'll be doing a 25 Days of Christmas series, posting one post every day up to Christmas. With the New Year quickly approaching I'm thinking of new things for my blog and new places to take it. I cannot believe this year is almost over!

Anyways, this post kind of turned into a random ramble of my thoughts, but I hope you guys have an amazing Thanksgiving!
