Too many people, including myself, take life for granted. I wanted to take this day to reflect on how fortunate we should be, not only for our own lives, but for each other's lives. I began thinking about this when our school talked to us about cyber bullying and how easy it is for people to say terrible, negative things to people from behind their computer screen. I don't think people realize how fragile life really is until they're put into a situation that forces them to deal with something life-threatening, whether it be an illness or suicidal thoughts. 

I'm incredibly grateful for this life, sure it's not always perfect, but we learn from those situations and grow as people. It's really sad though how many people go through life feeling unappreciated, unloved, and just hating themselves. Nobody should ever feel this way, ever. So I want to dedicate this post to you. I don't know you, I don't know what you're going through or what you've been through, I don't know how you're feeling right now, and I don't know your situation. What I do know is that I want you to feel that you are important. You being alive is important. You being yourself and loving yourself is important. 

I'm not here to judge you or pity you. I'm here to let you know that if you ever need anything, there are people out there that will help you if you need it, that will listen to you, that will help you through hard times. I'm here if you ever need anything, no judgement. Some people may not understand your situation but I'm sure they'll try. If you ever feel down, just remember, you are important, and you are awesome.

If you know someone that is struggling with something, reach out to them. Try to understand what they're going through and see if they will open up to you. Try to help, even if all they need is someone to listen to them. It helps to have someone you can go to.

Whoever you are, where ever you are, what ever you're doing remember that you are important. If you ever need anything but don't know who to talk to, you can call any of these hotlines, anonymously if you'd like, and get help. No one has the right to make anyone feel as if they're life is not important or worth living.
 Please whatever you do, just remember it gets better. I appreciate you and you are loved. You are important. If you ever need anything call one of those hotlines, send me an anonymous message, talk to someone, whatever it takes to make you feel better about yourself.
