Mother's Day

"God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers." - Rudyard Kipling
Since Mother's Day is this Sunday I thought I'd do a post about my wonderful mommy. It's hard to put into words how much my mom has affected my life because she has done so much for me and will continue to. My mom genuinely has the biggest heart than anyone else I know. She always puts everyone else's problems before her own, always takes on more stress than she needs to and is ALWAYS there for everyone no matter what the situation. I know I can talk to my mom about anything because...well, she's my mom! I've gotten a lot closer to her as I've grown older and she's basically my best friend. She's my rock and the reason why I am the person I am today. Without her, I can't even imagine what my life would be like.

I'm thankful that I was blessed to have such a wonderful woman in my life. I'm glad people created a day to recognize the greatness of mothers, although we should definitely appreciate them every single day of our lives. I couldn't even begin to imagine a life without her.

There are so many things I love about my mom. I love that she loves to help others. I love that she can always put a smile on my face, even when I don't want her to. I love that she trusts me and sees good in me. I love that I have the ability to make her proud and make her feel like she is making a difference in someone's life. I love that I know I've won an argument with her when she gets all flustered and says "I have to go pray now!" I love how she always says "I hate you too" when I say "I love you." I love how she denies that she loves anybody but God, yet always worries about my siblings in California.

The list could literally go on forever because I love every aspect of who my mom is and what she has done with her life. When things get difficult I know I can go to her. When I'm happy I know she'll celebrate with me. When I get mad I know she'll try to figure out what's wrong. I could probably write a book about how my mom is the greatest person to walk this earth but ain't nobody got time for that. (;
