One Tree Hill.

People always say "it's just a show" or "none of it's real," and for the longest time I believed that, until I watched One Tree Hill. I remember that my older sister used to watch it so I decided to watch it now that I was "old enough." I saw that it had 4.5/5 stars on Netflix so I had high expectations but One Tree Hill surpassed my expectations. I've never been so sad because of a show ending. After 9 seasons, One Tree Hill ended in 2012.

This show was more than just a show to watch when you got home; it taught me a lot about life. I know it sounds silly but I really think this show helped change my perspective on life. I never would have ever thought that show could make a such a huge impact on my life, but here I am. I just finished the last episode of season 9 about 15 minutes ago, and here I am, blogging about it. The quotes I have above are the last words the characters spoke.

The show is centered around a group of seven high schoolers who represent the different "cliques" that are present in most high schools today, if not all. It shows their journey through high school, their ups and downs, how they become friends, how they drift apart, what happens after high school, and how life can be sometimes.

I understand that it is a fictional TV show, but something about it is so relateable  As my senior year is quickly coming to an end, I'm starting to realize how scary it'll be having to basically start over. The 12-year routine that I had memorized--waking up at 7 am, riding the bus, sitting through 7 periods then coming home and watching TV, putting of my homework until the last possible minute and then waking up the next morning and doing it all over again--all over.

I'll be starting a new routine now, and although I'm not sure how it'll turn out, I guess I'm ready to face it. Sure I'm still scared, but that's life. This show has been really inspiring for me. If you're interested in watching One Tree Hill, it's on Netflix and I'm sure you could rent/buy the episodes on DVD. Have you ever had any TV shows or movies that have really just struck a chord with you? Ones that you can relate to your own life? Ones that really inspire you? Let me know! Or write about it! Whatever you want. Just remember...
