"When life is sweet, say thank you and celebrate. And when life is bitter, say thank you and grow." - Unknown

Comic Relief is a major charity in the UK that strives to create a world free from poverty. The charity came into existence in 1985 and ever since they've been doing three things: raising millions of pounds (money) through their two big fundraising campaigns (Red Nose Day and Sport Relief), spending the money they raise in the best way to tackle the causes of poverty, and using the power of their brand to raise awareness of the issues we care most about.

"Our mission is to drive positive change through the power of entertainment."

So far the charity has raised over £800 million, which is about $1.2 billion, helped in about 70 countries, has funded 15,786 projects in the UK and works 365 days a year to fight poverty and social injustice in the UK and around the world. Red Nose Day - Friday, 3/15/13

Red Nose Day is a fundraising event, organized by Comic Relief every two years, across the UK to encourage everyone, including celebrities, to put on a Red Nose and do something funny for money. It's basically a night of comedy and moving documentaries on BBC One. This day unites the entire nation to try and make a difference across Africa and the UK and to assist those who are facing injustices or living in poverty.

If you don't live in the UK you can always visit rednoseday.com to donate and learn more about this effort to help those in need while having fun at the same time.

We should always be thankful for what we have. I think this is an awesome, fun way to laugh and help those in need at the same time. There are millions of problems people suffer with worldwide, why not do your part and help them get to where you are? I hope this shows you that although there are an infinite number of problems there are also an infinite number of solutions that you can be apart of. So have a laugh and keep doing what you do!
