Artists I'm listening to

1. Passenger
Genre: Alternative Folk
I actually just heard a Passenger song today called Let Her Go and I instantly fell in love. I feel like I've heard his voice before but I can't put my finger on it. It's definitely unique. His new album is called All the Little Lights and after listening to it once, I can say I really like his music, at least from what I've heard. Of course I'm going to have to listen to the album a couple times before I decide whether or not I truly like it, but for now, I'm pleased.

2. Walk the Moon
Genre: Alternative
Walk the Moon is actually an old band from 2008 but someone from Tumblr introduced me to them. They're definitely an interesting bunch, but the first song I heard is called I Can Lift a Car and it's from their self-titled album. They remind me of Imagine Dragons, maybe that's why I love them so much! They also recently came out with an EP called Tightrope, and so far it sounds good to me!

3. Mumford & Sons
Genre: Alternative Folk
Mumford & Sons is definitely not new but they recently gained fame in the States with their new album Babel. Their most famous songs at the moment are I Will Wait and Little Lion Man. I honestly instantly fell in love with their music. It's so different from the type of music I usually listen to that I just had to give it a listen. I'm not quite through Babel yet but I've noticed a lot of the songs sound similar, which is a little disappointing. However, I love their sound and if you haven't listened to their music yet...what are you waiting for?!

4. Bridgit Mendler
Genre: Pop
Bridgit Mendler is from the Disney channel series, Good Luck Charlie, and like many other Disney channel stars, has decided to try her hand at singing. Although I'm not totally in love with her music, and it's not much different from other pop music, I think she's pretty good. I didn't really expect that kind of sound out of her. Mendler's top songs are probably Ready or Not and Hurricane. If you want to explore some new music you could check out her album Hello my Name is...

5. FUN.
Genre: Alternative
"Toniiight, we are youngg so let's set this world on fiiiyaa..." And that's when I became hooked. Fun. is actually not new, but their hit song We Are Young brought them into the mainstream, which is where I discovered them. It seems like I've been getting into a lot of alternative music...Anyways, fun.'s new album, Some Nights is amazeballs. Yes. Amazeballs. Their sound is just so unique and I LOVE it. Some of their other songs I like are Some Nights, Carry On, and It Gets Better. Love, love, love. You should definitely check them out if you haven't yet!

So yeah, these are some of the artists I've recently gotten into. Some old, some new, all pretty much awesome. If you have any new/old artists you've been listening to a lot lately, let me know and keep doing what you do!
